What is bambangan?
It is a kind of fruit which I believe is from Mango family. More like wild mango. As you can see, the skin is brown in color compare to mango which is usually green or yellow. The flesh is yellow just like mango. The taste slightly different.
At my place, bambangan usually made into pickle. Like this:

Why choosing bambangan and not other fruit?
Well, I'm promoting my state, Ranau Sabah. And bambangan is one of the unique items in Ranau. So, if you come to Ranau, make sure to get a taste of this fruit and the bambangan pickle or at least take picture!
